    FAQ

    Do you accept insurance?

Maple Cove Therapy is an out-of-network practice. While we do not bill insurance directly, we are happy to provide a superbill — a detailed receipt of services — which you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Every insurance plan is different, so we encourage clients to contact their provider directly and ask:

    • Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?
    • What percentage of each session fee will be reimbursed?
    • Is there an out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
    • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

Yes. Maple Cove Therapy works with clients who have out-of-network benefits and can provide a superbill upon request to support reimbursement through your insurance provider.

    Individual therapy sessions are:

    • $250 for a 50-minute session
    • $375 for a 75-minute session

Couples therapy is $250 for a 50-minute session.

Fees for other services (case management, consultation, coaching, or supervision) vary and are discussed in advance.

The first session is an opportunity to get to know one another, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore whether Maple Cove Therapy feels like a good fit. We’ll talk about your goals, answer questions, and outline next steps together.

Yes. Maple Cove Therapy offers in-person sessions in the village of Newton Highlands, located at 30 Lincoln Street, Newton, MA. We also offer telehealth sessions for clients throughout Massachusetts.

Online therapy is provided through a secure, confidential telehealth platform. Prior to each session, you’ll receive a unique session link by email and text message. You can join sessions using a web browser on your computer or by downloading the platform’s app on a mobile device.

Telehealth sessions are conducted with the same care, privacy, and professionalism as in-person sessions.

You may cancel or reschedule a session at no charge with at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations can be made through the client portal, or by emailing, texting, or calling.

If a session is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or if you do not attend a scheduled session without notice, a missed session fee of $250 will be charged.

Yes. Maple Cove Therapy offers psychotherapy services for adolescents, families, and couples, in addition to individual adult therapy and case management services. Availability may vary depending on clinician expertise and scheduling.

Adults (anyone age 18 or older) must contact Maple Cove Therapy directly if they are interested in beginning therapy. Parents or caregivers are welcome to share our contact information, but the adult client must initiate services themselves.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your services may cost. This is part of the No Surprises Act, which went into effect in 2022. A Good Faith Estimate outlines the expected fees for services when insurance is not being billed.

The length of therapy varies from person to person and depends on many factors, including the concerns being addressed, goals for therapy, and level of engagement. Some clients find short-term work helpful, while others benefit from longer-term therapy. This is something we discuss collaboratively and revisit over time.

Yes. Therapy is confidential and governed by state and federal privacy laws. Information is only shared with your consent, except in rare situations where disclosure is required by law for safety reasons. These limits to confidentiality are discussed during the intake process.

You can get started by reaching out through the contact form on our website or by emailing info@maplecovetherapy.com. We’ll follow up to discuss availability and next steps.
